ALMOND BUTTER WITH SLICED APPLE: says it all in the title really. Portion out some almond butter, core and slice an apple into wedges, use the wedges as crudites to dip in the almond butter for a mid-morning or afternoon snack.
MAKE YOUR OWN ROASTED NUT MIX: Add large handfuls of raw almonds, pistachios, cashews, walnuts, peanuts and pecans to a large roasting tray lined with baking paper. Using your hands, toss the nuts in some olive oil, honey, brown sugar, sea salt, pepper, dried rosemary, thyme, fennel seeds, chilli flakes, and smoked paprika. Roast at 180c for 10 mins, toss and roast for another 10-15mins until starting to brown. Leave to cool completely. Keep well in an airtight jar for a few weeks.
BANANA AND PEANUT BUTTER ON TOAST: Slice up a banana, toast some sourdough, spread the toast with peanut butter and top with the sliced banana for a great pre-workout snack.
