SHAKE / SMOOTHIE: Most Collagen powders are unflavoured, so consider buying some flavour drops to add some. Have a serving on its own, mixed with water or milk and a handful of nuts and berries to round out the meal. Add a serving to the blender with some frozen berries or banana, nut butter and milk or milk alternative for a smoothie.
OVERNIGHT OATS: Remove the core from an apple, grate it up and add to a bowl along with 3-4 dessert spoons of 0% fat Skyr yoghurt, 30-50g of collagen powder, some raisins, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and some raw honey. Add some milk or milk alternative to loosen the mixture slightly, cover and place in the fridge overnight. To serve in the morning (or anytime the next day) top with nuts or nut butter and fresh berries.
SIMPLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE: Place 1 small chopped frozen banana, half an avocado, 1 de-stoned Medjool date, a dessert spoon full of cocoa powder, 20-30g collagen powder and a tsp vanilla essence (or 3-4 vanilla flavour drops) into a high powered blender along with a splash of coconut milk. Blitz for 10-15 seconds and then use a spatula to scrape down the sides. Repeat 2-3 times adding a little more milk to get a firm mousse-like mixture. Serve with strawberries and nut butter.
